Prof B B Chakrabarti has an excellent academic background and has been a topper in Mechanical Engineering at Jadavpur University (1972) and at IIMC (1980). He has worked for twenty-four years in Multinational Corporations and Indian business houses in senior and top management positions. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Cost & Works Accounts of India. He teaches Options, Futures and Derivatives, Fixed Income Markets, Financial Services and Working Capital Management  at IIMC.

He has held several seminars and Management Development Programmes (MDPs) on Financial Derivatives, Corporate Finance, Strategic Risk Management and Financial Management for Corporate Accountants. He also has to his credit various MDPs for working professionals including Corporate Treasury Managers, Portfolio and Risk Managers, Securities traders, Back Office and Systems Professionals, Regulators and Auditors, to name a few.
